Good news for income taxpayers: Income Tax (Income Tax) has a big announcement Thursday Assessment Year 2021-22 personal income tax returns have increased the duration of filling (Income Tax Return). Earlier its deadline was 31 July 2021, which has now been increased to 31 September 2021.
Deadline extended for Form 16 as well: The deadline for employers to issue Form 16 to employees has been extended to 15 July 2021 for a month.
The due date for filing the tax audit report and transfer pricing certificate has been extended for one month till 31 October and 30 November respectively.
The deadline for filing delayed or revised income returns is now 31 January 2022. In addition, the time limit for submission of the Financial Transaction Statement (SFT) report for financial institutions has been extended from 31 May 2021 to 30 June.
