The same demand-supply mismatch has led to an increase in the cost of parts (chipset, display panel, display driver, back panel and battery) used in the manufacturing of smartphones and smart TVs. Due to all these problems, the company has had to increase the prices of smartphones and smart TVs.

Other Companies may Increase Prices:

A Xiaomi spokesperson said that from July 1, the price of smart TVs is increasing by about 3 to 6 percent. Similarly, the prices of smartphones have increased.

According to the report, due to the increase in the price of TV panels in the global market, soon other smart TV makers can announce a 3 to 4 percent increase in the price.

Prices have increased in April:

Earlier in the month of April, the price of smart TVs and smartphones has increased, at that time the reason for the increase in the price was attributed to the operating cost.

In this, there was talk of increasing the freight and domestic transportation charges from sea vessels. India is a big market for smart TVs, with 17 million TVs sold, with an estimated turnover of 25,000 crores.
