Olympic Games Tokyo 2020: Sherwood College Nainital alumnus Angad leaves for Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 from India

Angad Veer Singh Bajwa, an alumnus of Sherwood College, has left for Tokyo with the Indian contingent on Thursday to participate in the Olympic Games. He will represent the country in shooting. Participate in the individual event of the Olympics.

Principal Amandeep Sandhu told that Angad had performed tremendously in the 14th Asian Shooting held in Doha in the year 2019 by securing gold and silver medals and secured the country a place in the 15th Olympics. This was the first achievement in the history of the country in this competition.


Angad Veer Singh Bajwa is a 2013 batch student of Sherwood College. Principal Amandeep Singh said that after getting education from this school, he has earned a name at the international level.

This achievement is huge for Nainital and the country along with Sherwood. He hoped that Angad would bring laurels to the country by giving his best performance in the Tokyo Olympics and getting the country a gold medal.


Let us tell you that Angad is from the third generation of his family studying from Sherwood College. His grandfather was a batchmate of Amitabh Bachchan. 


Also his father has also studied from Sherwood College. Amitabh Bachchan also congratulated him for securing the Olympic quota. 


During his studies in Sherwood College, he used to play this game with passion. As a result of which he is now representing the country. He has expressed best wishes for Angad's victory.
